Account Providers
An Account Provider allows your users to authenticate and sign-in using a specific authentication method. This can be a social provider like Facebook, Microsoft Account... , an enterprise provider like Office 365, SAMLP aware identity providers... or custom proprietary providers.
You need to activate one Account Provider for each method you want to allow your users to authenticate and sign-in with.
Types of Account Providers
The Identity Hub supports many Account Providers out-of-the-box.

Supported protocols
Currently The Identity Hub supports the following open standard protocols:
- OAuth 2.0: The OAuth 2.0 authorization framework https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6749
- OpenID Connect: An authentication layer on top of the authorization framework OAuth 2.0 https://openid.net/connect/
- WS-Federation: Web Services Federation is an Identity Federation specification http://docs.oasis-open.org/wsfed/federation/v1.2/ws-federation.html
- SAML-P: Security Assertion Markup Language is an open standard for exchanging authentication and authorization data between parties https://wiki.oasis-open.org/security/FrontPage
