How to: Create a Profile Password

In this topic you will learn how to create temporary personal credentials for basic authentication. A profile password can be used f.i. when accessing OData reports via Excel.

Create your own basic authentication credentials for The Identity Hub

1. Navigate to your Profile Page
2. Go to the section Security Information
3. In the Profile password paragraph, follow the link Generate new profile password.
4. You are redirected to a page displaying your password and the expiration date of the password. The expiration delay of such password is the same for all users in the tenant, only a tenant administrator can change the expiration duration.
5. Take note of your password as it won't be displayed anymore when you leave the page, then click on the Back button.
6. In the Profile password paragraph, your Username is now visible.
